A Thomas update - 11 months old already!

At the moment he's happiest when he's walking, walking and walking some more!

I had a lovely stroll around the grounds on this warm
Sunday morning.
There's a wealth of interesting features here left from times gone by

and gorgeous  shrubs coming into flower.

The mature trees are spectacular particularly the shapes, colours and textures of their magnificent trunks.

Traditional English countryside at its best!

My recently marbled fabric put to good use in a longarm quilted wallhanging and cushion.
Now for sale on the gallery page of this blog.
I made up crazy squares incorporating a selection of the my marbled fabric along with solid pink and grey fabrics for the centre of the wallhanging and surrounded them with a wide border in solid grey so that I could show off the pink thread of the quilting pattern.  For the quilting I used 'Fire', a close longarm pantograph pattern.
The hanging measures approx. 44" x 33.5"
(112cm x 85cm).

The cushion measures approx 19" (48cm) square.

The envelope back below has a long overlap to avoid any chance of gaping and I've used a lovely duck feather pad inside to give it plenty of bumph!.
