My apologies for being AWAL for a while.
Apologies also for no quilting service at the moment after the recent sale of the house in the UK.  I'll be back on the longarm soon so watch this space!

Meanwhile, a few pics taken yesterday on a nearby walk to le Col d'Ussat and today, market day in Foix.

Le Col d'Ussat is an easy 3 hour walk (there and back) from Tarascon sur Ariege.
The views are spectacular.

Foix is the administrative town of the Ariege.
Le chateau de Foix proudly overlooks the town and can be seen from afar in all directions.

Taking time to stroll around the narrow streets is rewarded with beautiful architecture at every turn.

'La Petite Brocante' is a lovely recent addition to the collection of fascinating shops in the town centre.

Le Café du Commerce overlooking the food market in Place Volusien is a very popular spot for lunch and people watching.  Today's plat du jour was encornets/squid cooked in garlic and herbs and accompanied by ratatouille, perfumed rice and a mixed salad.
Colombelle 'La Belle Vie' fresh and fruity and the perfect wine choice for the occasion.

Creme brulée and a coffee to finish off - merveilleux!
